Ty Tosdal represents clients in litigation over land use and property disputes, as well as a wide range of environmental and other matters. He also represents clients in business litigation. He has experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including motion practice, taking depositions, and coordinating discovery. Ty has extensive experience representing clients and settling cases in alternative dispute resolution.
He also represents and advises clients on energy regulatory matters and proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission related to renewable energy, electricity rates, and distribution and transmission issues. Ty has represented individuals, environmental organizations and alternative energy providers in regulatory proceedings.
Ty attended law school at the University of Oregon, where he specialized in environmental law and served as executive editor of the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation. He also has a master’s degree in public policy from UCLA and graduated with honors from UC Berkeley.
